3. From the Default Layout field, select an option. Every time you launch

ECView Platform, the nodes in the map view are arranged by its default

layout. The options are: Circular, Hierarchical, Organic, Orthogonal and

Edge Router.

4. In the Minimal Node Distance field enter the minimum distance from

one node to another.

5. In the Minimal Edge Distance field, enter the minimum width of the

Edge tool.

6. In the Compactness Factor field, enter the distance of a group of nodes

to another.

7. From the Node Name Display section, select the option for displaying

the device name and/or IP address in the Map window and Nodes tab.

The options available are: Show Label only, Show IP Address only,

Show both label and IP Address.

MAPPING - EDITOR This option allows you to set the background appearance of the Map view.

You can choose to place an image on the background of the Map or simply

change the background color.

To set preferences to set the background appearance of the map view,

perform the following steps:

1. From the left panel, select and expand the Element Manager option and

choose ECView Pro > Mapping. You will see the Mapping screen on

the right panel.
