5 DASHBOARD

The default display of the NMS Dashboard shows the various ECView Pro

Charts that give you a visual display of information about the network and

devices on your network. These graphs help you to proactively manage the

usage of your network. It also helps you to predict possible network

problems, which can reduce downtime and operating costs.

Depending on your preferred Dashboard target, you can set the target to

be:

◆ ECView Charts (Default target)

◆ Any of the existing ECView Reports

◆ An Image from any URL or web page (for example, your company logo)

◆ Any valid URL or web page (for example, your company website)

The Dashboard display can also be automatically refreshed in seconds by

changing the Refresh Frequency settings in the Preferences option (see

“Preferences” on page 127). You can increase or decrease the length of

time between refreshes.

The Dashboard option also comes with the Notes panel (see “Notes panel”

on page 59) used for keeping brief records or writing short comments of

any activity in ECView Pro Platform. It can be very useful for future

references. By using the Public Note feature you can communicate with

other users of NMS.
