9 SYSLOG

Syslog is a feature used for receiving and logging all log messages directly

from specific managed devices. It shows the details of each log, such as IP

address, description and data, and the time of the log.

Similar to the Event Viewer tool, Syslog also has a filtering feature for

users to be able to categorize the received logs and easily search for

important logs.

The Severity panel summarizes the total number of logs for each severity

type.

Use the “Find” toolbar to search for certain texts or important words in the

Syslog view.

Note that Syslog configuration on the manage device is needed for the

ECView Pro Server to be able to receive the logs and display it in the Syslog

feature.
